wooden core #2 / vacation house, Toscana realisation 2005 |
![]() |
Our assignment was to turn an old Tuscany barn into a small vacation house. The challenge was to provide a very basic and limited space with all comforts, without making the space claustrophobic. By adding only one wooden element that incorporates all necessary functions, the leftover space is left as big and bare as possible. The wooden core contains a kitchen, a bathroom, closets and a bed. The core is strategically positioned in relation to existing openings in the façade thus creating different zones. |
