Exhibition Prins Bernhard, Verzetsmuseum Amsterdam realisation 2005 |
![]() |
Prince Bernhard (1911-2004) documented the Second World War in a wide range of photos and films. This exhibition gives a personal view of the many activities of the Prince during wartime. The main challenge was to fit all this material in a chronological order in a relatively small space. By making a continuous folded wooden movement out of birch multiplex panels we maximized the wall surface and created distinct space for the consecutive years of the war. Special attention was given to the integration of monitors, a projection space, furniture and text boards. Striking orange text boards are positioned like anchors in the routing. The graphic design of the signs and the boards was an integral part of our assignment. |
