Armando Museum |

Armando (Amsterdam, 1929) is one of the major post-war artists of the Netherlands. He is held in high esteem both national and internationally as an artist, writer, film and documentary maker and violinist. We were asked to design a new visitor centre for the Armado Museum in Amersfoort. The centre should contain a space for an audio-visual presentation, an educational centre, a museum shop, a small cafe and a lounge for relaxation. The present use of the space for exhibiting works also has to be maintained as much as possible. A lot of demands on a limited size space.
